Found out this weekend my Meziere water pump works intermittently. Anyone buy a kit and rebuild it yourself or have one rebuilt by Meziere?

'92 D250 Club Cab CTD, 47RH conversion, pump tweaks, injectors, rear disc and hydroboost conversion.
'74 W200 Crew Cab 360, NV4500, D44, D60 and NP205 divorced transfer case. Rear disc and hydroboost conversion.
2019 1500 Long Horn Crew Cab 4WD, 5.7 Hemi.

Bummer, I may just take it apart myself and see what's up. It may only need cleaning as it's been sitting dry for quite some time.

Are you suer its the pump and not a wire, connector, or switch issue ? I have found there pumps to be very reliable and would be surprised an intermittent problem would be with the motor itself.

Yeah, I'm sure, it worked initially then quit, tapped it with a small hammer and it started again. Did this several times. I'm thinking the brushes are gummed up and the armature is probably dirty.

When you go to put it together again get yourself a couple of paper clips. There are small holes in the brush boxes and if you straighten out a couple of small paper clips you can push the brush back in the box and insert the clip thru the small holes. This holds them back making it easier to get on the armature. After you get it started slid the paper clips out. I did mine at the track between time trials in the car trailer and cleaned everything up with electrical contact cleaner. 3 years ago and still working great.
