Pulled out the air box on my'70 GTX and broke some of the studs off from the hood. I'm not too sure as to how the studs go in as my FSM has the '69 diagram. I'm thinking that I may need to drill out the spot welds to separate the plate from the hood. If anyone has an idea as to how to replace these studs, please chime in. Thanks.

I broke a couple off mine too. I ground down the remaining portion and then mig welded a new stud on. A little tricky. I tried to minimise the heat used and had to do quite a bit of detail grinding and filing to dress down the weld.

I think that may be the best way to do it. Thanks for the tip.
