I used a MBRP stainless 4" system on my 2002 Cummins. It came with a Magnaflow muffler and while it did seem to reduce the EGTs and maybe improved the power, I did not like the sound of the exhaust as much as the stock system.

Bought my 4" SS diamond eye from Treasure Valley Diesel by far the cheapest around, bought off ebay for little over 300.00 including shipping.

thank you
how does the diamond eye sound, ?
i dont want too loud, or for it to have a drone
Quieter on the 98 than the 93!! But thers more sound insulation on the 98 as well. The 93 crew has an 85 crew cab body on it and as we know those had NO sound insulation what so ever on them!!!!
Bought both exhaust sets for the price of one from the other manufacturers, but thats up here in Canada, we get gouged on pricing up here.

I have a 4" Diamond Eye, too, but mine is a turbo-back kit and it's straight piped. It's not overly loud, but obviously louder than one with a muffler. As others have stated, I had no trouble bolting it up. Great product and priced much, much better than MBRP.

I just thought about a couple things... The kit I ordered came with enough extra tubing to eliminate the muffler. I just had to have the ends flared open a bit by a muffler shop. Also, if you wind up with a kit like mine, pay attention to the hanger brackets. I slid the one just above the transmission crossmember too far forward and it touched, causing a nasty, loud vibration. Once I figured it out, I felt like such a bonehead. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh2.gif)
