What heads are these Mopar P4532900? I got these small block heads a while ago and have been sitting in the shop.

Some type of magnum head... which ones I dont know

Thanks...by the intake I figured they were for a Magnum. The casting number I guess they are Commando's but large or small.

Studs....dead give away for a MAGNUM head...not large port or small port commando...

Nothing LARGE about them.

They are the same ports as a small port commando. I belive that is also the same as magnum r/t. Comparable to an edelbrock when ported. Out of the box they are average as they were designed to be ported........lots.

The 408 I bought had these heads on it. They are a magnum version of the small port commandos. I don't believe MP sold very many of them if at all. The ones I had came from Dan Dvorak who was supposed to do some R&D on them but he never did. They were sent to Heads by Rick in Vegas who ported them and he claims they flowed 315 on the intake at .650 or .600 I can't remember.

Most people don't speak very highly of them for some reason or another but this 408 went 8.40's in an 1800 pound altered with them at 13.5 compression and a .630 roller cam.

I sold mine to my son and went with my W5's on this motor.

Actually, they're junk. I'll pay you scrap price plus shipping and take them off your hands, but that's just because I'm feeling generous.

Those are the first Generation of Aluminum Magnum Heads. They were basically a Cammando head they was machined for use in a Magnum Application.

When they were Available through Mopar's catalog they weren't. Now that they aren't any more they have been popping up a lot in various places. Indy had a bunch of them as well as some Ebay dealer out of Dodge Indiana. I bought a set from the Ebay dealer for $500/pr.

Supposedly they can be made to flow around 300cfm, or compariable to an Edelbrock head.

One thing I found out with mine which were missing 1/2 the seats and needed the guides replaced, Is they will only hold about a 2.05" intake valve MAX.

One shop that I know that has done a few sets also said that they found that some of the casting seemed a bit soft as though they had never been heat treated. He had the ones he did Heat Treated.

On the flip side if you look to Mopar for Magnum Aluminum Heads NOW all you will get is Edelbrocks with MOPAR on them.

Also after dropping mine off at the machine shop and the guy looking them over YOU'd be better off buying the Edelbrocks if you're buying new. I could have bought Edelbrocks Complete ready to go and saved a few dollars over what it's going to cost to complete or fix the issues from the ones I bought. And they weren't even used heads. Just never finished.
