Looking for advice on weatherstripping/window felts/fuzzies/cat whiskers. Who make the best/most correct? Who sells? Best price? Etc? I have scoured the internet and have seen too many products/retailers/sellers claiming that what they're selling is the "best". Looking to buy a complete set (8 piece inner/outer) for my '70 Challenger Convertible. Thanks in advance for the advice.

I would get a hold of someone with the exact same car and see what they used. Metro, soffseal, etc may have a good product for one model of car but not another... Hopefully that makes sense.

I would recommend you only use Top Cat brand window felts regardless of where you buy them.

If you would like us to quote them, email us your zip code and we'll be glad to send you a quote.

Thanks,
Randy

Randy at Dixie is the only person I call when I need window sweeps .
I have used Metro weatherstriping on a 1970 Cuda and most recently a 1969 Charger with ZERO issues or complaints. Doors close nice and easy and most importantly the window seals in the upper roofrail weatherstrip really nice.
I'll use ( and will only use) either Randy at Dixie or Holgar at Supercar Restorations when I need weatherstriping.

I tried Softseal on the cuda 1st ( customer supplied it, plus they're local to me ) and took it all back off and dropped it in the trash can .

I will be ordering the 8 piece "TOP CatWhiskers" window sweeps from Dixie today. I will also get the Metro door seals. However and unfortunately, Metro does not make A-pillar post seals for E-body Convertible. Only one available that I can find is SoffSeal; so I have no choice but to go with that. I will be ordering it from Dante's Mopar Parts.

Still waiting for a response from First Place Auto regarding their "1970-74 Dodge Challenger Belt Weatherstrip Kits". Haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet, but I'm getting ready to. Thanks for all the advice/feedback.

If you follow the link to restoration specialties, they have a pdf of their catalog. Look through that for the matching cross section to your originals. They are more of an antique car parts and supply - a little bit different world than 'Year Ones', and useful to know about.
