I had pretty much that exact car (EK2 Orange car). Best I could get it to run on street tires at Sears Point Raceway in California (Now called Infineon Raceway) was 14.12. Only options were power steering and an AM radio. It could have likely dipped into the high 13's with more rear end gear like 3.91's or a 4.10, maybe even with the 3.55's if I had slicks. It was 100% showroom stock original, never rebuilt or modified, even had factory exaust.

I also had a 68 340 4 speed GTS Dart, it was a VERY bare bones, red on black, manual steering and brakes, no added options and had 3.91's, it was also 100% stock and original, it's best time was 13.92 at the same track.

Mid to low 14s. My 340 auto GTS vert ran the 14.18 on 235/60 15 street tires. Only changes to drive line from stock were addition of MP stall converter and 3.91 rear gears.

I had a '69 Swinger 340 4 speed with a non sure grip 3.23 rear. It ran 14.20's at Fremont and Sears Point. In '69 the car was in G/S at NHRA tracks.

The owner of my 71 340 demon ran consistent 14.0's in 1975, it's an auto with 3:55 and he said there was a local t-quad guru who worked the carb over other than that it was bone stock. Added headers and it dropped to 13.70's with wide Goodyear poly glass tires
