Does anyone have an original B5 interior or pictures of one? I am trying to dye the plastic trim and want to get the correct colors. My car was missing some of the parts so I don't know what it looked like.
Specifically, what color is the A pillar trim? Is it the same as the door panels? What color is the left and right lower dash trim (the one around the heater and radio)? My console and A/C lower dash trim and the vent surrounds are definately a different color than the door panels, they are a darker blue with a little metal flake in them (or so it appears).

The plastic dash trim and A-pillars do NOT match the exact blue color of the door panels.
In fact I have had many original pieces from the same car that don't match each other.
Also from my experience with B5 blue interiors the plastic parts you are asking about are unique color for the 1970 model and don't match the 1971-74 parts.
I have original B5 parts from a 1970 challenger but it may take me awhile to post photos

Thanks, I would appreciated any pictures you can provide. I don't think I have ever seen an original blue interior. The blue interiors I have seen have already been dyed and done such that the whole interior is pretty much the same color. I can give you me e-mail address if that would be easier than posting the photos but others would probably be interested in how it looks as well.

Photos of original B5 plastic dash bezels from a 1971 challenger. These parts have never been redyed. From my experience the hue of the blue color on the 71 parts is darker than the 70 only challenger dash pieces.

Note how the blue color is not uniform and the light and dark areas.
Other factors to consider that can affect the color; UV exposure of the plastic overtime, batch to batch variation and color match during the molding process.

When possible I will post the 70 pieces for comparison

I finally got back to this post with photos of the 1970 dash bezel.

This is an original never painted or dyed dash bezel from a 1970 Challenger.

The part is definitely a 1970 bezel since it has the correct groove which was used only on the 1970 Challenger.

The lighting is different between the photos of the 71 and 70 parts, but note how much more "bright blue" the 70 bezel appears compared to the 71 bezel.
Again this has been my experience with blue parts and the various shades of blue used.
