$115 quick entry. Semi's pay $100. No thanks.

IF I do the math correctly, they are losing money on the quick 16. Pay out is win $1500, RU $750 and semis $100 twice for a total of $2450 payout. 16 entries at $115 each only equals $1840. So the promoters are paying out $610 to make this race happen. I don't have a quick 16 car, but it Seems preety generous to me on the pay out. What am I missing?

I think most of the classes have a "Class Sponser" that pay the purse..poppaj

I think what you're missing is that the Pro class entries pay for any other classes that are short. Figure if we had 70 cars in pro (which I think is attainable) that's $4900 in entries and a $2275 payout. Do the math. I need to get something with a hemi in it. $20 more for better payout and less competitors.

Some very good news for the racers.
Mo-Power Events has listened to the racers.

To little to late. They should have listened when they had good car counts. Sounds like someones at the end of there rope. Have fun....

how about respect for the racers/swap/and show folks. Some people were banned from these events because of what they may have said about the events or reccomended for the events or even competed against the event and that makes no sense.

I have always wondered how many names were on the banned sheets .

We'll be there - already registered for S/Pro. I'll support every Mopar race I can get to. I would like to see the payout a little less top heavy - IMHO Semi's and Qtr's should pay $250 and $100 respectively.

I'm interested to see how the Q16 works out with the minimum ET breaks - I'm just a little short of the bump.

Sometime change is for the best... Looks like they are trying to listen ??? to the racers and make change for the best.

Change is good but there were alot more issues then just guaranteed payouts - how about respect for the racers/swap/and show folks. Some people were banned from these events because of what they may have said about the events or reccomended for the events or even competed against the event and that makes no sense. I can also attest to the attitude that was given when questioned about payouts or anything else concerning the rules I'll probably attend a couple to see what if any changes have been made but as of right now I do not have all of these events on my calander

Russ

Everyone has an opinion and I as a racer for many years respect your opinion. The biggest thing is the racers need to stick together who cares who is putting on the race. We will be at Larry Augstine race in June and have been requested to crew chief his car and the family pit crew. We have made a lot of very close friends racing the series that is the biggest reason we race the series is family racers and our close friends like I said the racers need to stick together as one big family. Maybe that is the problem the men whos family are not involved in their racing don't want the family racers to race any longer.
Our oldest daughter has been given the best offer of her life this race season. She has excepted to race an orginial hemi car they have set the car up just for her. there has only been 3 people to ever race this car and one of them is her. You will see her in the Hemi/Max Wedge class at the Mo-Power Events, Mopar Nationals, Curt George Memorial, Monster Mopar and Maybe Larry Austine's race if he brings it down. She would have never had the offer if it had not been for the series. We are very proud of her and very excited.

If you don't support the events, you may not have them in the future.
We have had our share of opinions about promoters and events but still try and attend as many as we can, this is our sport and hope everyone prospers.
Congradulations to Bratt Racing and good luck.

I am for what ever enhances the sport. Its the people that participate in the shows that make the shows. That includes the sponsors too.

Hope to be there. The wifes b-day is the 18th. and she doesn't want to go. I may need to sleep in the trailer after the weekend too.

We will see after this weekend. Just pinned a crack a couple of weeks ago and haven't had the car out yet. Beep
