Is 1.58 hp per cubic inch good for a pump gas street engine
At 640 hp.. thats way more than the tires will handle ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

My 387 ci pump gas engine did 612 hp and 538tq with a rich tune on carb so I just can not help to think there is more left in it.
dyno numbers and race numbers are 2 different things. take it to the track and lets see what it runs. good numbers if it proves to be ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif)

It pains me, but my wife's factory built 2001 Honda S2000 is 122 cubes and 240HP, only thing that saves face is the 153 ftlbs of torque.
Sheldon
The AP1. A true technological marvel. Until very recently, when Ferarri came out with their 458 (?) V8, the s2000 was the highest HP per cube ov any engine ever factory built. 2HP per cube. 11:1CR, 9000rpm, V-tech driveability. 13 second car at around 2800lbs if i remember right? No shame in respecting that...
