Maybe no more than 300lbs open, but that's not the whole picture. It's the stamped rocker arms that usually have a pushrod punch through them. Lift and rpm are also a factor, especially if you plan to run it hard. It's difficult to gauge how well or long OEM stuff will hold up when you start start adding other performance stuff. But "the weakest link in the chain" will show itself eventually.

Well, I simply wouldn't even consider it. But I tend to be extra cautious. I've been running around those pressures on my race car with Crane & Harland Sharp rockers and .08?" wall pushrods! I believe OEM may be around .065"

There have been some discussions on OEM rockers. Hopefully someone will chime in who has had first-hand experience in this situation.

The stamped steel rockers WILL fail at that pressure and r.p.m.
Not might........WILL.
I'd guess I got maybe 1000 miles on mine before the pushrod punched through.
The H.D. stamped rockers would be the cheapest Bandaid for you.
I have no experience with them , but was told that they are stronger.
I went right to Harland Sharps because I wasn't going to gamble on it happening again.
It was far less enjoyable as a V-7.
