Hey guys I want to black out the hood on my 70 challenger, can anyone tell me what paint they used. Also I need a good picture of the way the black out would be laid out on the hood. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Jim

I think the V21 treatment is only a sticker...

Since I own a sign company I did my own graphic. I spent a lot of time on the file to make sure it was perfect. I sent the file to Challenger Gary so he could make them for others. Contact him and see if he can do one for you. http://www.challengergary.com/ - 561-302-8260

I don't suppose you let the leading edge run long? I bought one years ago from PCG & the leading edge was shy of wrapping under the moulding by nearly 1/4" with the decal shifted so far forward it was practically touching the scoops... Seriously what would it cost him to give you an extra inch so you could trim it behind the moulding...

The one I did last year I left my edge long by several inches so I could trim it after installed. It tucks under the trim.

Does the black out extend back on both sides of the hood or does it stop flush by the cowl screen grill? Can't tell by the pic that was posted. Thanks

I did the artwork both ways, but I liked it where it stop flush. That's what I put on my car, but you can have it either way if you want.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm not selling decals. I just passed the artwork on to someone who does. I know I spent a LOT of time precisely digitizing from a factory decal on an R/T hood I had. Doing it myself I got to use the best top of the line 3M film.

I've seen some really nice hood decals and some not so nice. I've heard good things about Phoenix, but have not had any dealings with them.
