Replacing the sending unit on my 68 barracuda, I see two brands at Summit: Goodmark and RightStuff. Anybody have an opinion on which one to go with?

Most aftermarkets, if not all of them, will read incorrectly. You will have to bend and/or tweek the new sending unit to get an accurate reading. Check the archives and you will see what fun you have ahead of you.

aftermarket gauge, I'm going to calibrate it before I bolt it back into the car. I just wondered if anyone had experience with either brand

I also got a repro from Van's Auto on Ebay and it is dead-on in my '73 Charger.

That being said, I had gotten a repro unit about 5 years before which was WAYYY off. The thing to ask before you buy (and benchtest before install) is the resistance from the body of the unit to the output stud.

IIRC should be ~8-10 ohms @ full and 75-78 ohms empty.
