Trying to figure out the attached wire from the wire harness. 73 Rallye. Wire branches off by the Orange Mode. The single wire is red and darker than the other reds. I think it is for the Cig lighter. The other has 3 wires going into a double connector. Black and Blue into one and red into the other. Not sure if the flasher is correct. Could not track it on the wiring diagrams.
Thanks

It could be the dimmer for the inside lights (not the dome though). They (like the column key light) would slowly dim after starting. I could never get them on 71 and up B's to work anyway (the dimmers never worked right). They were also on the fancier E's too me thinks.

Orange is a dash etc. lights.

everything points out to turning signal flasher, althought the blue wire sounds weird

If its located on the passenger side of the dash, it is probably the seat belt buzzer. The wiring diagrams show a dark blue to one connector but does not show a color for the other terminal.

if so, got a wrong device plugged into... yes, seatbelt system is coded with blue wires

However, seatbelt buzzers are long and flat plastic piece, not L shaped pronghs disposition, and they get two blue wires ( traced )

HOWEVER, lights on buzzer could work the same for seatbelts buzzer and shares same flasher prongs disposition

72/73 Charger dash shown, with untouched wiring

The pic on OP looks to be touched or modified ( by the way how is taped )

you can see behind the lights on buzzer the turning light flasher which gets black and red. Black being the input from fuse box, and the red going to steering column turning switch

Being the blue wire spliced into the black wire, which sources on RUN or ACC position, it could be very well a source for seatbelt system HOWEVER, these usually sources directly from fuse box, not spliced from flasher input source.

I never have seen yet the seatbelt system sourced from a diff place than straight from fuse box.

There is a blue wire sourcing the seatbelt relay
