Any one out there use one of the remote oil filter kits? If so could you steer me in the right direction (Brand name/Part number/Manufacturer). I am changing to a set of Spitfire Shorty headers and can no longer use the angle oil filter adapter. Also what is the best mounting location for the remote unit? The car is a 64 Valiant with a 360/727 and used at the Drag Strip only.

360 stock has an adapter plate that allowed the filter to screw into the side of the block so you did not need the angle filter mount.
Will that help?
I have ran all of my small block cars that way and never had a header problem.
You can use the same size filter as on the Dodge Omni if you like.
I ran my 340 with that plate and an dodge Omni sized filter for 4 seasons at 11.34 in the 1/4.

No that won't help. clearance is a big problem. only have about 3 inches with the shorty headers.

With such little clearance as that you might have trouble finding a remote adapter that will work. However, I use one from Hamburgers Performance that is nice. -12 AN fittings can be had in every angle imaginable, I have hoses coming out at a 120 degree angle to clear headers and chassis.

I went on a site that had pics of them installed and it looks like the 90 degree oil filter adapter is what they are using?
They look awful tight! Check out the pics.
