I have a 2009 Ram 2500 with this overhead. It has been reading perform service for the last 8k miles. i can not figure out how to reset it. the instructions in my owners manual must be for a different unit because they are not correct. Any help???? Thanks in advance.

Here you go.

•1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (Do not start engine).
•2. Press and release the brake pedal two times.
•3. Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly two times within 10 seconds.
•4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF/LOCK position.
NOTE: If the indicator message illumination when you start the vehicle, the "Perform Service" indicator did not reset. If necessary repeat this procedure.

Thanks but I tried this several times and it does not work. The process will clear the message when I press the accelerator pedal but it comes back when I start the vehicle.

Does anyone have any other ideas to try??

you can try this, i know it works on most jeeps with the same sort of display:
page through to the service interval settings, and then step all the way through them until its back where you want the reminder to come on again ie 3000, 3500, etc. then press reset.

It may be ugly, but it sure is slow.

Ok thanks for the extra input

Challenger1 those post have the same info as above
poboy, those work for my 01 grand cherokee but this console is different

I have made some progress, I pressed the accelerator 3 times instead of 2 and although the display still flashes "oil change required" and "contact dealer" it then changes to the normal screen showing outside temperature, like it should. No more "perform service". I'll take it.. Thanks for the help
