Scott,
I don't know of any pre-made but this is what I built. It has half circle pads that the K member sits on. The arms are adjustable so it will work on A/B/E bodies. The rear has a jack pad that is also adjustable side to side & front to back. You wouldn't have to go to such extent but just an idea.

We had some just like that at Nostalgia Lane, had pins that the k-frame sat in and a stand for the trans just like what is shown, even the jack was the same. Ours had rubber tires though...

Thanks Dave, I might take you up on that, I have a trip planned up there in a couple weeks. Also, thanks to those who've offered help on this thread, I appreciate it.

I hated the fact that my cherry picker took up so much shop space, and it was only used for one thing.
Before I got my two post lift I was able to used it to drop the body on my engine and transmission. I took an extra set of front bumper brackets and extended them. I then added a square bare between them. My engine stand base with a sheet of plywood on it held the k member and engine/transmission. Using the picker to lift the body up I was able to roll the engine/transmission/k member under the car. Then a floor jack was used on the tail of the transmission, for adjustment. It worked great.

Now that I have a two post lift I added a HF transmission jack adapter on top above the hook on the cherry picker. Using an appropriate sized hole saw for the T. adapter post I also then drilled and taped a hole for a hold down bolt. This way it can be removed if need be. This is a nice sturdy safe way to remove a transmission with the car way up high on a lift on the cheep.

I was putting this Challenger together as a driver is why I didn't take the time to clean the transmission etc. I saw this as an oppurtunity to practice for doing the same thing on my Cuda.

Here is the us car tool cart. It worked good, but you must watch to k frame angle when it sets on the cart. It can rock forward or back a little. this can play havoc with header fitment etc damhik.

I stole the wheels off my safeway scaffold & made one that will disassemble for floor space when done. I think I used 55-7 chevy body mounts for softeners. This is a dummy motor mock-up. It still needs a rear scissor jack for the trans. There's a welded bolt with threads through the softener, through the oval hole in the K-member, with a washer & finger tight nut.

Not the best design in the world & its a bit tall, but it'll work,.......I think ... ......haven't tried it yet.

Coming soon to a theater near me!

Some very nice examples, thanks for sharing! I'm a US Cartools vendor but have only carried thier frame connectors and drive shaft loops. I haven't seen one of the engine carts they introduced in person yet. Is there anything about it you'd change? Has anyone seen any examples of any other competitors product out there?
