What is a good oil for breaking in a RB Stroker motor? I will be running a hydraulic roller cam, Edelbrock heads....in the past I would pass on the synthetics but thought I would ask to see what the current opinion is. Thanks

With the roller you won't really need a SPECIAL break-in oil like you do for a solid cam, but it hard to find an oil much better than Brad Penn. Not the cheapest out there but its a very good oil.

I used 30 wt. Joe Gibbs oil for the last break in. Rings seated very qiuckly. Nitrided flat tappet hydraulic cam, no problems. Used Joe Gibbs multi weight for the first 500 miles after the 20 minute cam break in. I use Brad Penn for post break in. Brad Penn break in oil would have probably worked fine too, but my machine shop had experience with Joe Gibbs oil and wanted me to use it.
