I have a 543 stroker with 14 to 1 comp. and eddy victor heads runnin methanol injection with a bird catcher hat , the question is what is the best plug and gap to run? Thanks

methanol, I gap my plugs at 26 sometimes .024


NGK 5671A-8 or a 9 but its a bit hotter

You mean the 8`s r hotter than the 9`s right?

I thought the 8 is colder than a 9. My 9s are still in the box. No fouling out tho isnt 10 the hottest?

No, Thumper is correct on NGK, the smaller last numbers are hotter, the bigger numbers are colder, IE a -8 is hotter than a -9. A -5 is really hot

Thanks for the correction. I run 8's in mine and have a new box of 9's I actually thought the 9's were hotter.

I have run and liked the Champion C59CX for years,I have just switch to the Autolite AR3933(same heat range) and only like them better because I can read the plugs better,than with the Champions on alcohol.No difference in ET between the 2 at all.The NGK R5671-9 is the same heat range plug,have not run them yet not sure if I will like the full length electrode.
