Hi All!
Just got off the phone with Mike over at BEAParts and he suggested to me that if anyone could answer my question if would be you all here.
Perhaps, a quick intro first:
I just became the second owner of a 1975 Dodge D100 short bed truck found in CA.
Now that may sound appealing to some, but I think my new truck puts the term "survivor vehicle" to the test.
As in, "How has this thing survived for so long?!?"
Yes, it unfortunately has some issues that I've been fixing or am about to, as I continue to stockpile parts, but overall it's a solid and eager daily driver that will finally receive some long overdue attention.
So my question: The stock steering wheel is this rather plain utilitarian number that has seen better days. My hope was to swap in another wheel from an earlier car. Specifically, the three spoked style with partial horn ring, that I think was fitted to a 1970 Charger Pic attached- I hope).
My column is non-tilt, with an ignition key on the column. Will this wheel fit?
My humble thanks in advance for the help.
Mike

Probably better question for the Moparts: Truck and Van section.

But I think the donor wheel at leat needs to be from a 70 and up car with the larger diameter steering column with key in column.

Welcome Mike , I'm not a truck guy but you'll (likely) get an answer soon

Thanks for the welcome, RR.
I had hoped that someone knew if the steering columns had a commonality between both the cars and the truck (i.e. spline count and diameter) in the early 70's.
Did Dodge make that many different columns between 1970-1975?
Here's a shot of what I currently have on there.

How about a tuff wheel? I think Grant or someone is repopping them now.

I checked out the Tuff wheel and while it can look great in the trucks, I think it conveys an overall feeling of "sportiness", that my truck just doesn't possess.
Being a bare bones, no frills, slant six I felt the large rim blow wheel was a better look.
But that raises the question, is there a way to adapt an earlier wheel to my 75 column?

I would think most non tilt 70 and up wheel may fit, as long as you don't have an issue with the double tooth on spline. Had a 79 4x4 warlock with tough wheel and liked it.
