Im thinking about buying one of the aar fiberglass r/t challenger style hoods for my 79. Any one have one? hows the fit/quality? any pics?

Who makes them?

Have only heard of one place making fiberglass hoods like that. I can't remember the name, they were out of florida, and lots of problems with their stuff.

well the company used to be aar fiberglass but i think stinger fiberglass took them over, that lre looks like the hood im talking about, thanks! im defintely buying it now! Im getting ready to get it painted and im thinking that hood,purple paint and a black butt stripe will complement the new look quite well!

Not sure about this but that hood looks to have the 80's body line on it... Would it need the 80's cowl to fit the 70's trucks?

Yeah it calls out to use the newer cowl and wipers.I have all of that on one of my parts trucks though. Good eye!

well that was gonna be my next question, mine is the earlier 79 with the single headlights, and i have the newer flat hood (non birdbath) so is that the cowl style theyre talking about?

The cowl you have is the one you want. Just look at the pic of the white Ramcharger, you have the same cowl.
