The P4529414 show a zero arch 120lbs/inch rate and a reasonable price. Any thoughts? I've got a set of old, good 5 leafs that I got from JC Whitney-like 25 years ago. They are holding up great, but I'm running 2" drop blocks and flipped hangers to get the ride height that I want. I'm either going to have them de-arched or get new leafs.

I posted the spring rates on here, do a search for spring rates for a comparison. Tim

In my experience, these springs tend to spec out a bit higher than their rated 120#. Now, will they settle into that over time, I don't know. The last set I picked up did the old, unscientific stand on it and measure deflection test and came out at 180#. But they are flat and will drop ride height.

They also have an odd ball 22.5" front segment. You can use SS spring front hangers with them, but it will push the axle back half an inch. I believe ARE sells a oval track spring specific front hanger if you want to maintain original axle position. You could find these at Mancini or Firm Feel.

Yes I sell Oval Track spring hangers that are 1/2 inch shorter than the standard A-body hanger.

Firm Feel usually has them in stock since they sell that system as a package with the springs. They sell a lot of the Oval Track spring and hanger setups.

Thanks for all the replies. I think I'll just get mine de-arched, not looking to increase the rate, or replace the front hangers. I did the "jounce on the springs and measure the sag" to approx the rate, but my memory ain't what it used to be, IIRC it was 100 lbs/in.

The front segment is 20.5", not 22.5".
Super stock: 20"
A body factory: 20"
Oval track: 20.5"
Most aftermarket oval track: 20.5"
B & E body: 22" (65 and earlier were shorter)

Andy makes hangers for the 20.5" springs. Dr diff made me a set that ha a 1/2" offset as well.

Thank you for the correction, 20.5, not 22.5 is correct. Sorry, sometimes the brain moves faster than the fingers.

I figured it was just a typo!

You know more than me about all this anyway. I'm usually the one mixing my numbers up.

I didn't know anyone made hangers to account for the 1/2" When I installed Hyperco composite leafs I welded up the hole and redrilled it. Does anyone make the 1" offset hangers with the holes drilled for the 20 1/2" ?

I believe Andy does / did. Don't know for sure.
