I have two AAR projects, one of which is an original paint EK2 car. The car had 'cuda rocker moldings on it which I assumed someone added at some point. The car with the VIN# immediately before mine (which is an exact copy option-wise) is for sale on e-bay and it also has 'cuda rocker moldings. I was going to leave the rocker moldings off my car when I restore it, but now am wondering if they could have been original? Were 'cuda rocker molding ever available with the AAR package?

Attached is the link to the car for sale.

M25 rocker moldings were not available on AARs.

I saw a magazine with an original AAR they were testing new and it had them. I've heard they never came on them. I put them on mine and I like them.

Do you have a broadcast sheet for it?

I have heard rumors for years that some were made, but I have not seen anything to back it up yet.

The car on Ebay is not coded for them.

A friend of mine has an all original FF4 with green interior that came with them, and they are coded on the broadcast sheet.

I see most AAR Broadcast sheet indicating an M27 option (wheel lip molding delete). Several AARs do not show the M27 on thier Broadcast sheet. Actually, show M26 (wheel lip molding )

Is this the code that we are discussing that might be on the Broadcast sheet? It could be mistakenly thought of as M25.
I have not seen the M25 "standard `cuda sill moldings" on an AAR. Well, at least not coded on the Broadcast Sheet.

Yes an OLD thread, but it is often the question that pops up many times regarding wheel lip molding and rocker mldg on AAR's...some sayin "never happened"

I recalled reading an old 1970 road test of such an equipped AAR many, many years ago, but in today's world everyone is of the "pics or it didn't happen" mindset...so I just happened to stumble upon it after all these years, I remembered it because of the shifter being pulled out by the road test driver

Looks like the left rear wheel molding is about to fall off in the second picture. Or just the the way the picture looks.

This subject has been a mystery to me for a long time. I parted out a FC7 AAR back in 1983 that had the "fish gill" rocker trim on it. At that time I assumed that it was correct to the car. I saved the trim with the intention of installing it on my AAR, but I never got around to do so. Some years later I was told that the AAR's never had the rocker trim.

I just pulled out the copy of the broadcast sheet that I have for that FC7 AAR that I parted out. It does show the M27 code and no M25 code on it. I guess someone did add the fish gills to it early in its life.

According to the 70 Data Book, they were standard on Cuda and Gran Coupe, but an option on Barracudas.

4 year old thread & I have still not seen an AAR broadcast sheet with M25.

The AAR information is not in the data books, they were printed before they had figured out all of the AAR details.

You answered your own question. Pre-production.
