Use a scat cast crank...there are pictures and post of broken/cracked eagle cast cranks.

The Scat for sure. The Eagle steel cranks are absolutley fine,( as far as toughness) but different story on the cast stuff.

Scat for sure if you're going cast. Have it checked before buying bearings though. Mine was pretty tight on the mains.
