Anyone have pics or a diagram of how the factory trans cooler would mount and install in a 73? Are 71-74 the same?

Anyone have a service manual picture? I believe it would be in the cooling section.

I wonder if a '73 WAGON would be different from a 2 door? My wagon has a cooler as part of the tow package.

Trying to get an idea of how the lines route in and out of the radiator to the cooler and where the mounting points are. Your picture definitely helps me get started.

Looking at the factory 1973 service manual only shows pics/diagrams for C-bodies and Imperials. Nothing is shown for B-bodies.

Lacking pics, in a nut shell, the fluid is routed from the trans, thru the radiator, then thru the cooler, and back to the trans. On my wagon, both lines for the added cooler are routed up next to the radiator (between the rad and battery) and over the radiator support. None of the line go under or thru the radiator support.

I hope that made sense.

Odd that the b body routing isn't in the FSM. I wonder if the 71, 72 or 74 FSM have them.

My 71 manual (in section 7) only shows a cooler for Hemi cars (mounted completely differently) and one on for full sized.

Specifically, I'll like to see what the 72 FSM shows.

Anyone with a 72 service manual to compare with the info posted from other years?
