Finally started assembling my 6.4 Gen 3 Hemi. Here's some pics of progress so far:

I did NOT want to paint this thing Hemi Orange. Road Runner has Purple in him, so my RR will have Purple in it.

I eliminated & plugged the piston squirter holes. Did not like that the squirters block half of the oil feed hole that runs thru the block.

Molnar Technologies 3.79 Stroke 4340 Crank

Diamond 4.100 Bore Pistons on Molnar Technologies 6.125 H-Beam Rods. Rings are Total Seal 1.5mm Plasma Moly Top, 1.5mm Napier 2nd, 3mm Oil Ring.

Got 4 of the Pistons in. 4 to go.

More to follow!!! Cam & my Belt Drive Install Next...

With that purple paint and the GM Performance sticker in the background just cost you -30 hp. j/k lol. Good to see you moving forward again ...What compression ratio are you building at?

30hp? I hope not LOL! Every motor I've ever had has either been Race Hemi Orange or Black. Just needed to change it up...I'm not a traditionalist by any means. (my RR also has a Ford 9" rear and GM Turbo 400 Trans)

Compression ratio: 11.5:1. I'm going to run it on pump premium.

Looks great Steff! Purple and Black is a winning color combo, for sure!(Baltimore Ravens) Bottom end should be VERY stout! What numbers are you looking for on the HP and torque? Will it go on the dyno before you install it in the Runner?

Sure....

4.10 bore x 3.79 stroke.....400"

Main Bearing Clearance: .003"
Thrust: .005"
Rod Bearing Clearance: .003"
Bob Weight: 1790/1800ish grams (I think)

Heads: 6.1's from my previous motor with 2.1 Int. & 1.62 Valves. Heads took a beating when the stock guts in my 6.1 decided to let go. Jeff at Modern fixed them all up.

Cam: Since there were no VVT/VCT Custom cam cores available as of last summer, I had LSM Engineering machine up a custom cam blank & then grind a stick up. I told him I wanted a cam that will make power & can run on the street. It also had to have a gnarly idle. Not sure if that's what I got. I guess we'll see here, soon.

My Custom Designed Cam Belt Drive

Stock Rockers & Lifters

3/8 Push Rods

Petersen R4 Belt Driven Wet Sump Oil Pump

Custom Aluminum Oil Pan I welded up.

Muscle Motors Intake for Dominator

1050 Dominator Carb.

Firecore Coils

ATI Balancer

Steff, So your using a G4 block with a G3 crank? Did you have to do any work on the crank snout or will your custom cam belt drive eliminate that?
