If I were you, I would lose the heavy TRW's. you will be much happier in the long run.

i had good luck with Hughes cams, good strong power on hotted up stock parts. i'd look at a cam thats somewhere near 250@50 in their collection.

hi guy's just gitn some opinons on what cam you guy's would run ? here's my engine combo so far. std bore 440 with trw 2295 dome pistons. i beleive they are 11.5 comp. stealth heads milled 0.30 mild port work. team g intake 4500 flange port matched to heads. i will be running proparts 2" primary header's 3500 stall 4.10 gear 28" tire in a 3200lb duster. oh would like to run a 1050 dominator carb whatcha think?
with that carb intake compression you could probably go .600 lift easy IF you have the right springs, rockers, etc. and can have the pistons cleared to the valves for that lift.
if using stock rockers and dont want to cut the pistons you should probably not go so big and still should thoroghly check the piston/valve clearances

The 590 will make a lot more power than the 509, and would be my pick. Dial it in very early (102?) due to the tight converter, shift it at 6,000.
thanks what bout the 557 mp shaft? sorry if i keep askin a bunch of questions but i dont have much mechanical cam exp.
