I've used the ones from Four Seasons. Order from your local parts store. I believe these are cast iron, not aluminum, but they don't leak like chrome ones. Summit

I got one from Napa (stock replacement). No leaks. Chrome nothing but headaches!

I will give it a try. I have tried both the chrome and the billet from (Mancini). Both are leaked on top of the aluminum housing.
Thanks!
Did you make sure the thermo housing was flat AND did you remove the chrome off the chrome one ?
what year engine are you working with ? Not all used a steel one .
