The only thing that was tight on my 383 with the 31580 and 1 7/8 Hookers was the centerlink/ idler area when the steering wheel was not centered. Got that corrected and it only got close at the extreme travel. Not even an issue then really.
I want my fair share

contacted milodon and they have a pan for ground clearance 31580, but not on tti header list for fitment? pan they reccomend is 2 and a half inches taller? would like to see a street car with one on it to see about ground clearance.
TTI headers fit 440 and Hemi with the 31580 pan.
Really depends what you have you front right heigh set at. Need to compare the distance between the ground and your K-member.
IMHO, if there are ANY marks on the bottom of your TTI headers now, you will have marks on the bottom of that 7" Milodon oil pan.
If you would like to check clearance and your indiviual driving situation, duct tape a stryofoam block across the K-member under your pan that is 1.75" down from your current 5 qt pan.
Here's a past discussion:
https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...amp;Search=true
This is a stock 6 quart hemi pan (originally came with skid plate) on the left and the 7 qt on the right.
The picture on the pan on the left looks like the early 1966 to 1969 Street Hemi pan, which came with the skid plates stock. They are a good oil pan, I've used many of them The 1970/71 Street Hemi and 440 6 pak pans are better They are shallower with a longer sump and they hold more oil than the early street Hemi pans do OP, look at buying one from Mopar (costly), Summit or Mancini ,I use the stock 3/8 pick up for THAT pan They work good, last a long time I use them in every car that they will fit in, 1966 to 1973 B bodys, 1970 to 1974 BB E bodys and BB in A bodys if you move the motor back and grind the K member back lip in some around the oil pan
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

....why is that pan so expensive? ...
That pans is much more time consuming to make and has many more parts to it.
There are 5 little trap doors inside the sump at each gate. They maintain oil around the pickup under braking, acceleration, left corners and right corners. And there are two trap doors in each left and right kickout. There are also large shelves in the front and rear of sump to keep oil from spilling out of the sump into the front or rear pan area under acceleration and braking.
There's much more length of welding to that pan and more complicated too.
