Its looking more and more like the TTi's will be the way to go...and I think I will opt for them with no coating too as it seems everyones ceramic finish is pretty bad quality...I do like though that they tuck up nice, ease of access to spark plugs, and really shouldn't require denting...and I see no issue with having to unbolt the headers to remove the oil pan

I called Tubular Automotive yesterday before making this post, and didn't include them in my question because I just wasn't interested in their product. Two sets of headers gaskets, totally slip fit, no real info about ground clearance, and no pics here, not to mention the price for them bare...I figured I would pass over those ones

A member on another board was kind enough to take some photos and some measurements for me of the 5204's on his dart, and needless to say, they are VERY close to the ground, something I think would be an issue on my car that sees a TON of street use...Otherwise I would probably consider them over the TTi's for price alone- I just can't get over the price of the TTi's...I know they are a nice peice, but DAMN LOL

Hopefully I can find a used set, although I highly doubt it...if not, I will just have to cough up the coin and lighten up my costanza wallet

I had the standard 1 5/8" to 1 3/4" step header on my Dart when the 340 was in it. As already mentioned the ceramic coating sucks and if your engine is not in the correct location they don't fit very well. For the 408 I bought Hedman Huslers with 1 7/8" tubes and 3 1/2" slip fit collectors. They have slip fit tubes and do show a little leakage in a couple places, but it's not anything you can hear. THey have thick flanges and fit very well. Each sice has one tube that goes through the fender well but for me it's a non issue. Ground clearence is great too.

I ran the 5204's on my Dart for many years without any leaks of any kind. I could pull the mini starter without touching the header. I've got a freshly ceramic coated 5204's if you're interested!
