My grille was bought new in 79' over the Mopar counter.

Supposedly, it the last one available from Chrysler Parts according to my Mom who picked it up while I was in the Service overseas.

It had little round donut steel clips to hold the cheesegraters onto the grille.

I recently found out that Roseville auto parts sells the square one's.

Were these square one's used as well?
What's the story on when the round one's were used vs. the square one's?

Was this a production time limit of either one and when each was used? Thanks.

either round or the rectangle will work and are correct.
production grilles used one and service parts used another. I beleive/told they were originally round and went to the rectangle.

I called Roseville to buy them.
They can't get them from their vendor according when I called them.

Further investigation from a contact led me to these.

Does this look like what some here might've used before when they restored their Grilles in the past?

I would think the round Donut types could be found if I knew what they were specifically named as.

Pretty close David, the round ones were on service parts and the rectangular ones in the reproduction 71 Cuda grille box you have on the shelve are correct assembly line.
