Also, what are the hard to find parts for these?
There's a few guys here that are doing '71 Plys...
Re-pop, and sheet metal a little better than when I did mine...
Some NOS(if you can find it)is absolutely outrageous...
How complete is the car???

It is missing the engine and tranny and is in a state of disassembly. The pictures I got from the seller show a pile of parts, and the interior looks pretty complete. I'll know a lot more when I bring it home in a couple weeks. This will be my first B-body project so I'll have to lean on Moparts a lot.

Ok so no vinyl top - what was y16 sales bank for?
In order to keep the production line running between customer orders and to help keep cars in the dealer inventory pipeline, plant employees would schedule cars to be built as part of the 'sales bank'. This is one of those cars. It just means that no customer sat down and ordered the car.
Gotcha. Thank you

From what I can tell the car only had the the hood blackout and the A87 Road Runner Decor package stripes that surround the taillights and extend down the lower valance.

What did the hood blackout look like without an air grabber? I can't find any pictures on google.

I just saw your posts over on the roadrunnernest. FYI, that car has a very late scheduled production date. The latest I have in my records for a 71 Satellite/Runner/GTX is 709

Is yours a sales bank car? It'd be interesting to compare how they are optioned.
After learning about what the sales bank code means, is it strange for a sales bank car to have a late production date considering the next years models would be coming soon?

My car was a lease sale. Tag reads: R36 V21 26 END J78 J81 M21 N41 N42 N85 GW3 U A45 A87 B11 G11 GW3 H2X9 TX9 707 096736 E55 D32 RM23 H1G 239119
I am almost done with it. Sort of a neat car. 15 x 7 Rallye wheels also.
