Slant backs are cool. Does anyone know why there are so few of them? Could it be the extra $5.00 that you would have to spend to get the extra room ,( aka humpback ), when it was ordered ?

Roberts Motor Parts is a great source for weatherstripping and some other stuff. Its nice to buy stuff from someone that knows what your working on. Disc brake conversion from www.rustyhope.com if a kit for you car is not listed, Charlie may still have one, or he will make one for you. You buy the brackets and the machined bushing and he provides instructions and a parts list you source out yourself. I had a 35 Dodge slant back 2 door sedan. After owning one without a trunk lid, I would have sprung for the extra money for a car with a trunk lid, if I was ordering a car new back then. Though there is storage behind the rear seat, it is limited and you have to access it through the back seat. The slant back sedans look a lot better then the hump back cars with a trunk lid, but the hump back lids are a lot more functional. Gene

my plan with the car is to build a fun driver out of it. newer drive train but leave the out side alone. just do what it needs lights, weather strip ect but no paint. I have never done one like this and its fun. maybe someday I might want to do the body and paint but not now. thanks for all the positive in put guys. this pick is where the car was found over 15 years ago
why? why not!

I really like this build, it sounds interesting. Sounds like a Heinz '37 to me! Where in Alberta do you live? I would like to come and look at it one day if that would be okay. P.M. me your contact info please. Thanks, Tom.

I thought a 37 Plymouth would be like a 37 Dodge and have a round axle rather than a I-Beam one. I have 37 & a 38 Dodge coupe and both of their axles are round. Never had a Plymouth. Are all Plymouths from the factory an I-Beam?
