Nick Mineau OP enthusiast N Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 350 CT USA	what could cause minor valvetrain noise between 2000-3000 on a i year old 440 mostly stock. sounds like cling a pen. cant hear at idle. is it normal for a little noise?

Does it do it while the engine is free wheeling let me refrase my replys. between 2k&3k it is heard. under 2k it is much quiter and @idle it goes away. above 3k i cant really notice it but the exaust gets louder so it may just hide it. in park at these rpms it is the loudest. under load i can not hear it at all. but once again the exaust gets louder. thanks for the help
