I used a 1.032" bore with 4 piston Will Woods,. Stock B-body pedal ratio. Pedal was soft and had trouble generating 800PSI. Now have 1.125", much better, will surpass 1000PSI. Mark Williams has an excellent layout for brakes.

Pedal ratio is a big factor, along with what size
calipers

Also make sure you have residual valves on both front and rear

pedal ratio is the key ! i used one from the parts store with a inch and a eighth bore and i needed 2feet on the pedal to stop the car going around the block!! iput the mopar 15/16 bore master one and it stopped great after 8 yrs it went bad and they don't make it anymore so i got a wilwood 1 inch bore on it now and it is harder [need more pressure on the pedal] to stop but works ok i am going to try the wilwood 7/8 bore next should need less pressure on the pedal to stop. ive got wilwood disc ft and rear

Jim ,very interesting. I would have thought the 64 B Body and the Charger to have the same pedal ratio. My problem was just the opposite, I could push mine to the floor with the 1.032". pedal ratio is 7.5-1.

I put a 7/8" on my Rampage... has a great feel to the
pedal and stops great... I cut my pedal to change the
ratio and to get the pedal to fit the car better
(so my heel is on the floor and the ball of my foot
is contacting the pad on the pedal)... the race car
has a 1" master but I have a bigger pedal ratio
(the master sits higher in the chassis)... I have
a FEW pedals laying around so I pick one thats close
to what I need and some times need to customize it

Recheck your numbers, as they don't add up... A larger diameter MC does not provide more line-pressure.
The old MC probably bottomed out in it's bore or your pedal was contacting the floor like you mentioned earlier.

The MarkWilliams link has some good pointers to keep in my on a brake system.

yeah doug i had power brakes on the car originaly i don't remember changing the pedal ass, it may not have a good ratio ? but i can tell ya the smaller bore in my car stops better with out alot of pressure i still have the mopar master may see if i can get parts to rebuild it . it still stops ok with the 1" bore wilwood master its been on for a few 9 ohs passes at 150+mph and never used the chute

I agree 100%. The smaller master had so much ratio I could send the pedal to the firewall. I knew the master should have been 1.125". But being CHEAP, I already had a brand new 1.032". I said it's only .093" different, how bad could it be? Bad. Live and learn, follow the chart.

If you are putting the master cylinder in the floor you might need one of these.

http://www.jerrybickel.com/brake-kits-and-components/lamb-2-residual-pressure-valve---lam888.html

I was told it is to keep the rear brakes fluid from draining back into the master cylinder since the rear brakes are now higher then the master cylinder when you move it to the floor.

If the master is lower than both sets of brakes you
will need 2, one in front and back

I suggest getting your parts here:
http://www.appliedracing.com/brake-components/brake-accessories-1.html
If I recall use the 10 lb for disc brakes and 2 lb for drums.
