What are your overall plans? Street car, going racing? Manual or auto?

I am putting a 727 automatic in it.I just plan on enjoying driving it.

Did you use the Sherman rear wheel arch repair panels? I'd used a pair 2 yrs back on a 65 Belvedere and they weren't bad, but weren't great for the money spent. Wondered if there's a better solution out there I've not discovered yet for next time. Your project looks great!

I used panels from Mill's supply.Overall they were stamped pretty poorly and needed a lot of work especially around the lip.There has got to be a better solution for these but at the time I couldn't find one.

Quick question about the cowl. My good friend tim has a 1965 coronet 440. He has had it since he was a teenager in the early 70's. Today, we took the drivers fender off hoping there was a way to get into the cowl area to clean out the leaves and such, but there's only that small hump/drain, and what looks like a bolt hole(?). The cowl also looks like it is one solid piece, so no removing it to clean it out.

How did you clean it out? That is if you did clean it out. Is there a fresh air vent from inside the car that can be pulled to access the cowl?
