take the eaxhaust off, PUT the crossmember where it needs to be, then fix the exhaust.
A custom bent piece of tubing made for the front mount to clear where you want to put both the exhaust and the ladderbar mounting cross bar is may be a good idea here. You will not have to compromise as much. With the front bar mounted below the frame connecters the ride height will be way to high. In order to get it right, you may have to move the exhaust in closer to the driveshaft? The roundy round crowd uses rectangular exhaust tube in some locatoions for ground clearance, and you might be able to do the same here to clear the cross bar and gain some working room. This is not the time to compromise. It will affect too many things if not done right.

Like said here... you have it all wrong.. the front mounting holes need to be VERTICAL .... thats not what I meant by 30-40 degrees APPLIED angle

Ok I just saw my mistake...!!! got them wrong in the welding process....
First question: what is the effect of moving the bars up or down ?
Well with going in to a long response //that is how you in part adjust them.

Very nice dvw! Whose parts did you use?
Parts are S&W, 36" bars. As to the bracket pic above that might actually work. Think about it. Cars that like the instant center further down probably like it further forward as well. As you adjusted down it would come forward as well. There would have to be enough tire clearance at the front of the well as long as enough for the driveshaft. Would it work? I'm already trying enough off the wall stuff myself , but never say never. Here's the back of mine. Doug

the higher the bar angle the harder hit for a shorter time, lower angle less hit but longer time. Is the short version. If you have stock front suspension (at least 6" of travel)Set your ladder bar around 2* down AT RIDE Height and you will be fine.
Thats the short version, i can't type enough for all of it.
