Actually IMO its worse then that. To the OP, a very nicely executed and audacious project  .
To the OP, on the coilovers, I assume you already know that changes are needed, but just to keep in the open why, it looks to me that coilovers are at a nearly 45D angle, when the axle is hanging, they will become flatter when car is on the ground, and of course as that angle changes much more resistance is needed for the spring and the shock to maintain control as Dan has noted. The next problem is because in compression of the coilover angle is non entering an area of becoming progressively non linear, which as it compresses the rate is decreasing, making a softer coil set-up, resulting in seldom ever a benefit, and actually a negative. One solution would be to move lower mounts inward, but moving the uppers outward is of course the best, and doesn't look difficult, once exhaust routing is finalized. 
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.
