Is the hichhiker(s) chipping in for fuel I think there is enough Scotch in the coach to make the trip. Might have to get some for the return trip though

SB/NA "street" car at 2600? I want to see one.

My car with me in it was 2,950. All the glass and window regulators. Dana HD60 in the rear. All factory body except the hood. Real chrome bumpers. That said, without going to lexan and fiberglass I can't see geting much lighter. Never lightened the doors and there is a lot of tubing in the car all chrome moly but a 25.2 spec is a lot of tubing. Oh with a R3 block small block they aint light either.

LMAO Thats what I was thinking. How do you even get a smallblock car to 3000 without a holesaw and sawzall.

Easy, use a Valiant! 2940 with a 360/727, 8 3/4, all steel except hood, full interior, 10 pt mild steel cage and 2x3 frame connectors, heavy 73 style disc brakes too.

yes they are and i'm surprised someone with deep pockets hasn't ruined the class, the current crop of cars i've seen are "realistic" for "normal" budgets hopefully it will stay that way.

i've only been to the indy race this year and despite some of the griping feel Josh and the support people did a good job all things considered, there were a lot of nice cars there.

i would like to at least attend the same race next year and maybe not as a spectator.

for those guys mentioning coming from the west i think you'd like it.
