Im getting to the end of my first ever engine build (360) and im kinda puzzled by a few trivial things:
1- Does plugging up the heater hose passages in the water pump and intake manifold have any adverse cooling affects on Chrysler blocks?
2- can i use any oil filter that fits a pre '91 360?Its a 72 block(had a remote filter mount on it but im switching it back to block mount)
3-Should having a MSD6 ignition affect my spark plug choice?(plannin on using stock type)

Can't answer 2 or 3 but plugging the heater hose passages probably won't hurt anything, but you NEVER are going to drive it in cold weather, Not even on that beautiful but crisp November Sunday morning?? EVER???

1 - no problem
2 - yes, all the older mopar v8's used same oil filter
3 - no, use same plug as before

But I wouldn't literally plug/cap off the heater hoses. Run a loop of hose from one into the other. And use the small cross-over hose from the manifold to water pump.

Death or Glory...it's just another story.
