I'm looking at buying tires for the 15x10's that I have. Seems BF Goodrich is re-tooling their Radial T/A RWL line and won't have any 295/50's until next year. I might be able to find a set of 275/60/15's which are a bit narrower and a little taller... I have 235/60's for the front.
What's the best tire size for a 10" rim? What are you running?

I have moved the back spacing of the wheels in to 5" and am running NOS old school shackles and air shocks for that Day 2 look....I know the 295 is a lot of tire... I think I have the room without moving the springs... the 275's are taller... the 295's are wider.

You don't want either of those tires. Trust me, 275/60/15 (the size I have on now, and the size in my car's sig pic) definitely has the perfect height for these cars, but the width just isn't there. My next tires will be 325/50/15, now there's a ballsy tire! They have the same overall diameter as those 275's but at least have an aggressive amount of width to them. At this diameter tire size, I have as much room as I need to extend the tires outwards, just got to watch the backspacing and quite probably throw an offset kit at the leaf springs to get the 325's to clear. Here's a thread from a while ago, with some nice pics: https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...rue#Post4592036

The 325 is a very good looking tire...
I want the RWL to match the fronts, though. What size rear rims do you have on your car?

me and a friend both have 73-74 satellites i got we both have 295 50 15 on 10 wide rims i have 3 3/4 back spacing on mine(i like a deep dish) but i have to use air shocks(with just lil air) to get them not to rub he dont like the jacked up look at all and wanted his tucked under the car so after some measuring he bought the same tire (295 50 15) and some 15x10 stars with 5 1/2 backspacing and thay tuck under the car very nice almost looks like it was mini tubbed it does not rub anywhere even when the rear twist(pulling in some where) has took it and jerked it sisde to side at speed to see if it would rub his car is all compleatly stock(60k mile big block car)you can put your hand between the 1/4 and the side wall on stock 1/4 lips leafs have not been moved either and no spacers maybe he will post a pic of it on here

I only have 7" rims on the back of mine, which I will be scrapping in favor of 10" rims when I buy tires again. To be fair, the 275's look a lot more narrow on 7" wide rims than they do on a 9 or 10" rim.
To be fair, the 275's aren't bad, and really, if you want a pure street tire, the 295 is about as wide as is easily available. The 295's are about 1-1.5" shorter overall than a 275/60/15 or a 325/50/15, but the 295 should be about an inch wider than a 275 but an inch narrower than a 325.
I like the white letter tire look as well, and duplicolor sells a tire paint pen you can use to color in the letters on your tires if you buy ones that are not RWL.
If the back of your car is not jacked up super high like mine, you would be happy with the 295's. The back of mine is lifted so high that it would look odd for me to give up any tire diameter. I'll be going with the bfg drag radials, or maybe the m/t et streets if I'm feeling it, but if you want a pure street tire, you're probably best off with the 295/50/15 in the regular bfg line.
