Need to know if I have a '62-66 piece or a '67 and newer. I blew the reverse/low servo out again and now I'm looking at using one of the billet replacement upgrade pieces, but they are different between the early and later versions.

When I had the trans built, I dropped off 3 cores, 1 early and 2 late, but never asked as to which he ended up using, and that was almost 10 years ago. Any quick way short of pulling it down to check?

Look on the side of the extension housing(I forget which side) & see if there's a 2 digit # ie 77. I am into 904's & alot of them are numbered that way & your 727 might be also.
