Looking for any experience with the Mighty Demon carbs since they came back out under the new ownership (NOT Barry Grant). Have they got their act together now, or are they still just a shiny, miscalibrated, poorly assembled POS?

Funny you ask this as I have a kid I`m helping w/his Camaro and he wants the Demon carb because of how it looks not how well it "doesn`t" perform...........kinda like E-brock carbs, nice and shiney but not ideal for most of what I work on or others I know and their cars. Application.............I say this all of the time to some stubborne guys I know that want to go fast. Walk around the pits/staging lanes at any major event and see what carbs are on the "fast" cars and more than likely it`s Holleys or a version of............

The 750 mighty demon on my racecar is flawless,,,, never a problem, not one.Is it the best performing carb possible? Dont know or care,I bracket race and the last couple hundredths of ET are not really that important.I know I am the exception on here ,but i likes my demon.

maybe I got a good one? outperforms every carb I ever used. Started with a thermoquad, then the edelbrock, then a street avenger. Haven't tried a Holley with mech secondaries, but I can't imagine it would be much better.
I did have to clean the metal shavings out though.....

You are missing my point, They asked about the Demon... Its junk, I have the edelbrock on three cars and love them, the older Demons are great, I had no luck with the new. Leaked, metal in it ect. I would not own one again..

But since holley brought Demon I think the Op is looking for feedback on them now the leaking, metal shavings and the bad rep came from when barry grant owned them.

If you still having the same problems i guessing it was old stock because barry grant never issued a recall as far as i know so lots of bad Quality control carbs are still on the shelf in supply house i betjegs, keystone to name a few, When i purchased my speed demon it was brand new but the box look like it was sitting for a awhile, It would be wise for holley to start a serail# on new deon carbs to keep track of the new carb vs the old ones.

Right, the new production run, not the old stock of Barry Grant junk. I've seen enough of that stuff first hand to know to avoid those.

I'll take a s.w.a.g. that the Demon name has taken such a bashing from when BG, Inc., let total QC nightmares ship out to the public that people are too scared to risk buying the new Demon carbs, even though it's a different company now.
