Why not use a correct harness instead of one designed for an old Chevy truck

Butt connector heaven

Not meaning to be negative but I've used a few hot rod wiring harnesses & while they have their place they really don't work well on Mopars.. They are designed primarily for hooking up directly to GM switches/connectors, they don't deal at all with the hole left by eliminating the bulkhead connector so you'll need to fabricate something for that... Honestly I typically try to save the dash harness & the headlight harness repair them as needed, add relays for the headlights, new engine harness, new tail light harness.. Maybe add relays for the heater-A/C fan & see where your at..

I used one for my 68 Barracuda. The wires are heavy duty and plainly labeled. I'd NOT recommend it for any sort of resto car, and mine isn't. I used weather pack connectors and OE style Mopar connectors and terminals. Butt connectors are for the cheap or lazy, why bother redoing the harness and putting them in? I'm a professional that's made a career in doing auto-electric and under dash work, have all the right tools for stripping, crimping and terminating things right, so-YMMV. They do have very good instructions and a worksheet so you can make a plan of attack on what circuits you will need and how to lay them out.

I use wiring harnesses from YearOne(the only thing I buy from them) they fit correctly & I've never had a problem
The EZ wire & others like it are ok for something like a hot rod
I have a 55 gallon drum almost full of them because some people don't mind putting them in a $70K Corvette & butt splice them in. I've seen cars the so-called pros have done some have skills & talent most don't choose to do it They choose the quick (more money for them) way

I've only put 1 in for a customer, he had started it and had it towed in. Frankly I don't think it was worth it, but he had no problem paying for it.
For my car the OE harness with the 6 glass fuses and tiny wires weren't going to cut it, I've already had to bypass the ammmeter and had the bulkhead connector fry.

Most comments are correct. EZ is dirt cheap so its in my price range. Ive done both ways, using ez and redoing my original harness. The EZ routes is SO much better.

The wires are good quality and you have plenty of it, no skimping on lengths! You wont realize how much you appreciate the labeling on the wire till you use one. The only thing I was not real happy with was the fuse box, compared to some of the other harness companies its cheap, about like an 80's car quality; but youll have to make the decision whether its worth the extra 100-150 for a fancier fuse box.

The other posters are correct, it NOT for a resto. And no matter how good the product, youll only get what quality you put into it. Trying to save an original harness Ive spliced so many old crapy brittle wires where I cut half a wire segment out and replaced that most of it entirely that the EZ route is just better.

FYI the harnesses sold by EZ are made by http://www.keepitcleanwiring.com/ They forgot to remove their invoice from the box before they shipped it to me. There are many more related components on the Keep... website as well. HTH, Steve

I've put several Painless universal harnesses in old Mopars. Other than the wire color, they looked stock and work awesome. You can get the terminals for the factory bulkhead connector and all the hardshell connectors mopar used. New bulkhead connectors are also available. The places that make the re-pop harnesses will sell them separate.

As for the quality, I used the EZ wiring harness on an old 52 chevy truck I did. The guy drives it 2-3000 miles a year and hasn't had any probs. Quality of the product seemed ok.

Made for a clean factory looking underhood on a resto rod
