I'm I suppose to be impressed? Looks like a show off/show car burnout. Almost crashed the car.

If the MODS did their job I would not be hitting the notify MOD button. LOL

Actually you should probably be impressed that his car is just as fast as yours even though you have a race car with slicks and he just has a factory stock car with skinny polyglas tires.

He is hanging in there. He has a long road ahead of him but a huge supporting cast. BTW the car goes 127 Mph at the end of the quarter mile. And its not a stroker.....

128.6 mph at the 1/4 mile and not a stroker. Still not impressed. Sorry guys you can not post a video showing a guy doing a burnout in a parking lot on dry concret the almost crashing trying to stop and expect a jerk like me to post. Hope he wins the fight with the cancer.Too many good people are dieing from getting cancer.

Impressed people should be that Dave is battling a dreadful condition that would bench most of us morally and physically by keeping the upbeat going for his life in face of such circumstances. He's also smart and sharp of when to lift and push the right pedals.

That car probably acts as an emotional rescue. Go Dave and all of his Family and friends.

OK. Well how about he is doing that thru factory intake, carbs, NHRA legal spec compression ratio, full body weight, no traction helpers, no trans brake, no slicks (g70-15 redline tires). Also he is the first 10 second factory stock car ever.

Yes cancer sucks. I have lost a grandparent to cancer, my mom is a survivor (2 time) and I lost 2 good friends before age 16 to cancer. Dave will win this battle also.

I did not "almost crash" the car, tapped the brakes for a second a tad to hard. Where would i have crashed? All that was in front of me at that point was flat concrete, i risked the chance of running into a cloud of air, just saying.... With everything going on in my life right now is was nice to let some stress out, sorry if I offended anybody here on moparts (at least one guy). I had permission from all involved to do such a burn-out.

And you can keep doing what you are doing as I know it will be safe or you would not do it and to the nay sayers I think you should keep your opinions to yourself unless you know all of the details.

Good luck on your journey to getting back to being healthy as we all know it's a tough fight but one that can be over come. Stress releif is one of the treatments

Sometimes ya gotta lift before the tires aren't hooking yet, especially with one of your cars hah Dave? Good luck with your health, I'm a 25 year cancer survivor myself, so keep on keepin' on.

Dave you keep doing what ever makes you happy. I did not know anything about your fight with cancer.I never read post that are not about either racing or tech.Never hardly ever go to other sections of Moparts.
I have a friend or more like a brother that has weeks to live and 2 months ago I gave him a all out 1/8 mile ride at the drag strip. Still talks about that day.

Awesome Dave and I would have done the same thing if all knew it was going on and were fine with it. Heck I have been to many cars shows where they have burnout contest and I see a few of them almost really loose it. Dave looked to have total control at all times to me. I even won 1 or 2 burnout contest at car shows before as most car show cruisers have never really done a nice burnout in their cars and dont know how to do it right or safely. Course us drag racers are used to doing them. Glad to hear you are doing good Dave and all the best to you. Stay healthy and keep your Mopars flying. And man that Bee is a beauty ! Ron

That stuff is what those cars were built for when they rolled out of the plant. A lot of people today act like you're stabbing a newborn baby when you enjoy them the way they are meant to be enjoyed, especially some self righteous drag racers I know. Those guys can STFU Dave and good luck with your battle, if you attack it like you do your cars you will without a doubt defeat it.

I'm a huge fan of yours Dave, I followed you and your RR here on
Moparts. Sorry to hear about the cancer, hope you get better soon.
I would like to know about your new ride, is there a post about it
here on Moparts?
