whats the purpose of running a 5 stage verses a 2 stage?

More pickup points, quicker oil recovery.

And maybe more vacuum inside the engine, maybe someone can verify this.


I have a 5 stage 3 in the pan and one in the cam tunnel.

Just more pick up points and more vac... I run a
3 stage(2 in the pan and 1 in the intake valley, my
R3 block is solid in the valley)... with mine I get
12" of vac which is all I want... I have heard if you
run too much vac you pull the oil off the bearings
Also some call the pump section as 1 .. I dont... I
just call the suction sections ... as in mine has 3
suction section and the pump section
