I have recently put my 1969 Road Runner back on the road! Now that it is up and running I am finding things to fix that I did not know about before!!! When I first got it running (a couple of weeks ago) my backup lights would come on only in reverse like they should now when put into Drive,or 2nd, or 1st gear they stay on? When put in park they go out. Can you help me figure out what might be the reason, Maybe you have seen this issue before? I have a 727 torqueflite, new neutral safety switch and new wiring under the hood. Thanks, Jay

If the lights worked normally and they suddenly don't, the end of the plastic shoe on the roostercomb might have broken off. Pull the NSS and look in the hole.

Or the NSS switch is shorted, internal terminals 1 & 3 contacts bonded together. Also make sure there is no short in the connector itself...

Just my $0.02..

My 70 Satellite has the same issue. I got pissed and unplugged them at the bumper. I never had this problem till I put a new neutral safety switch in. If I was you I would start there.

...FAFO...
