Could someone please give me some suggestions regarding what RB valve covers to use with EZ heads that will provide some clearance to my Firecore Distributor? Right now I have Mancini aluminum fabbed valve covers that are just too close to the distributor cap.

Thanks
Darren

Mine is a low deck but I have the EZ heads and firecore dist. Has plenty of clearance on the Indy valve covers. Thats why I went with firecore was to clear the valve cover.

Perhaps I should checkout the Indy valve covers

I use these with my Mallory dist and EZ heads. They are an older chrome set from Eddelbrock I believe but they did not have any writing on them. I liked them because they are a bit taller then stock and fit my roller rockers under them. They look just like the newer Eddy chrome covers with their name on them. Course I painted them as I wanted the Max Wedge look. My Mallory dist is very close but it has about 1/8 to 1/4" room. Ron

Thanks Ron. That's a definite option.

Notch the cover and tig in a new piece to provide some clearance. Should be able to form a small piece make a cut and weld it up. Just an option to keep the covers you have if you like them.

Yep --- I have the Mancini covers too (love them) and had to beat it in on the corner to clear and messed up my cover. Ended up taking the cover to a radiaitor shop for the fix Brian suggested.

I was thinking the same thing Brian. Perhaps you can help me with the tig process....

One thing I like about these valve covers is they look almost stock but are a bit taller. They were an old scratched chrome set so they fit my bill just right since I wanted to paint them to look like Maxie covers. Ron

Ron those covers look perfect on your car. As a matter of fact,
I think just about everything on your car is just about perfect. However
my Charger is all black so I need a little contrast under the hood. I might
consider however finding a set like yours and powder coating them
Gun metal gray.
