Has anyone recently had a set chromed? Where did you go? How much was it? and would you use them again?
I have a very nice set without pitting yet, just dull. Locals where I live are quoting me 200-220 for these little things. Seems high to me. Since they arent reproduced yet.

Paul, long story short, I had a guy doing pot metal chroming for me pretty cheap and he doesnt do them anymore. He did a set that wasn't perfect to begin with. I have a perfect set now, I need a flawless set. I wish these dang things would get reproduced.

Errrr! Great. I'll have to start saving my pocket change now so when I get ready to do the pair on my Bee, I'll have enough money saved up.

The only advice I can offer... maybe call some of the reproduction companies that are making other similar parts and ask them if they have plans of reproducing the '69 bezels. Who knows, they may have some in the works right now.

Just like the lower dash pads for B-body cars...... tease
69 superbee tail lenses from Laysons about 5 years ago....tease
repop A12 "H" rims.......tease

Wish these people would keep their traps shut if they really don't
want to reproduce some of these items......then don't go blabbing
that you'll be offering this part shortly.

Later, BUZZ

Why not reproduce them Dave? There seems to be a market for them...

I would just have them rechromed. I had my 70 super bee rechromed and turned out ok. Even if they reproduced them you would be more than likely pay that much anyways, just my two cents worth

Paul Jacobs did mine for me a few years back. They are holding up nicely I believe he used Pauls Chrome. Paul: Correct me if I'm wrong?

I did a set about 3 months ago and it cost $900 in chrome alone.
I must admit the result was worth it.

900 is a bit much 450 is more inline with what a person should spend in my opinion. I'm all about a quality fit and finish in the end but 900 wow.

I agree but it does depend on how much pitting the bezels have.
Pot metal is a pain to repair. Very labor intensive.
