That sucks, there's always next year. At least you have more than 1 car to use so your not completly out of the game.

Wedge motors are for racing, Hemis are for showing
Don't tell that to Charlie Westcott and the guys making 1,000hp plus per cylinder in Top Fuel...
a fuel motor last about 3 minutes if that before it gets rebuilt. thats warm-up, burnout, back up and pass ... and i would say the SS/AH cars probably go about 30 passes before a rebuild.
Sooooo, what's your point???? fuel motors go over 8K and make 1,000 per cylinder...SS/AH motors are making over 900hp and zing to 10K with only 431 cubes....his motor doesn't go over 7K and makes about 700hp so it's not because it's a Hemi that its having issues..
just saying they need worked on more

Randy, don't bother pulling the motor, I know what happened. The carb was so small, that it strangled the motor to death.
Your funny Dave...And if the damn thing would go the number and prove its making the steam, an SV1 would be on order already. The 6.9 pass should have been a 6.8 pass or better. The 60ft was there...And by the way, the plugs are perfect with my little bitty carb right out of the gate.

Thanks for all the replies, Bill and Bob. We will get it pulled this week. We had a failure of some kind in the lower end, and we will find the issue, and resolve it. I really don't think its anything we did, as we had 4-5 passes from the previous week on it with only an alternator issue, which is what you caught us swapping in the pits when we talked with you Bill. The only other change from the previous week were the rear gears. So we have our suspicions on what the cause is, but just haven't got it pulled yet. This was my efi Hemi street car for years, and I always had a few bugs with it to work out. I like the racing scene a lot more than car shows thanks to GRS. And for those not familiar with it, Bill Stevens is responsible for bringing it all togather with the Gasser Racing Series that I run in. We have a good time, and the food is awesome too. Take a look at: http://www.gasserracingseries.com/

Thanks for the Props Randy but its not just me, there is a great team of people working year round to make the GRS events a great value and experience for the racers. here's the short list Brian Kresman - assistant Director Frank Zieminick - Promotions Carlos Cedano - Finance Mary Cedano - Secretary Lisa Kresman - web page Laura Scarborough - Face book/ race day helper Scott Haynes - Mod tech official Ron Kirker - Gasser tech official Mike Scarborough - Points official Dewey Dilcher - food prep
for every one person listed above there is a least one race, racer friend, wife, cousin, brother ect..that pitches in on race day. it truely is a family at the GRS! plus many others who help throughout the season. Sorry for the High-jac but when oppertunity strikes... Again, hope to see you and even Ron next season (check the web site for awards banquet info)in teh Cuda or the Duster.
