Looking good once again.

Mopar still hurting in this competition though?!?!

Even though I did see some good numbers from an under-dog combo.

No one seems to want to pony up and bring the BIG GUNS from the MOPAR camp to the competition.

first...peak numbers mean little in the comp.
two ... max rpm was 8k
3.... BES had a major component failure on tuesday during testing, they had it fixed and in Lima on wednesday with a very conservative tune by a very weary crew. the DNF in final... didnt want to hurt more parts...
get your facts, before you post.....
and also BES ENGINES FINISHED 1 and 3 in the street category
AND it was NOT an SB2 HEAD

The heads were some kind of Profiler Airstrikes on the BES entry--It was wild.

Does anyone know what kind of component failure happened prior to the event to the BES team? J.Rob

Jesse once again you have shown that your dyno # at the shop are correct.
Hope you had fun. Matt

Thanks Matt, Our entry would have scored like shat no matter what. However had the handheld control been able to communicate with the ECU--the numbers would have been much better. To be honest I figured we would have finished far worse. Can't wait for next year-Mopar WILL be proud (aside from Dan Miller's 385 Hemi that placed second this year). p.s. Matt-We should think about two entries for next year. J.Rob

Why wouldn't Mopar be happy this year? First and second place in the traditional EMC class (Street) isn't a bad finish. I'm trying to convince the Bartons to bring one of their engines to Extreme, but EMC is scheduled right on top of a few major racing events that a lot of these guys cannot miss.

No that is what I'm saying Scott -that Mopar finished 1-2. Maybe next year 1-2-3 is what I'm hinting at. J.Rob

So I see that BES 2011 Engine Master Challenge Hemi was thrown into the mix again.
IIRC It was 25 hp less and 6lbs of tq more than last year.
Did they have to change anything from last year? Matt

Yes one point lower CR.

Belt driven water pump.

No lift rule but they did not take advantage of as it would have taken custom cam core.

I think rpm changed was 2500-6500 this year again. (think it was 3000-7000 last time they ran the hemi )

I may have missed something but that's the big ones.
